The Restoration is one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in. The location of the hotel is perfect, within walking distance of all the downtown restaurants and shops and a short drive away from the River Arts district and the Biltmore Estate. The hotels are pricier in this area but, if you want to stay in downtown Asheville, The Restoration is worth the splurge. The front desk staff was welcoming and helpful. The hotel is lovely, immaculately clean and the rooms are very comfortable, but, it also has some added touches that really impressed us. There is an area in the lobby that provides not just filtered water but also sparking water. The wine and charcuterie provided at 5:00 in the lobby was very nice but even nicer was the fact that when one person in our party who does not drink alcohol went to the bar to purchase a soft drink, there was no charge. A breakfast basket is delivered to your room each morning with food that can be eaten in your room or packed for later when you are out and about. The rooms come with an actual coffee maker and high quality, locally sourced ground coffee so you can brew delicious coffee in your room. All these little things add up and very much enhanced our stay. Our overall impression was that the hotel truly prioritizes the guest experience.

The room is very modern with lots of great features like 2 large, lighted mirrors, a small drip coffee maker, a delivered breakfast basket with fruit, yogart and a warm pastry and a comfy bed. The room was very clean and had floor to ceiling windows and a large balcony with 2 chairs overlooking the park downtown area. I loved the flooring...no gross hotel carpets!! There is a comfy lounge chaise by the window and a long bench to put all your bags on. There's a small refrigerator with some free pop, juice and a few other snacks. The basement bar, The Draftsman, was very cool and fun. It had a pool table, pinball machines, skeeball and games on the table(large Jenga, Connect 4) with lots of comfortable seating.

The Restoration is one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. The location is amazing…right in the heart of downtown Asheville. The rooms are gorgeous, spacious and comfortable. The hotel itself is beautiful. It used to be a banking center; there’s a lot of exposed brick and dark wood which makes the space very exotic. There’s an awesome rooftop bar/restaurant, and an equally awesome bar/restaurant in the basement. And the staff!! Everyone was professional, courteous, helpful and personable. They obviously are highly focused on customer service. I had my small Maltese with me in her stroller, and she was welcomed everywhere. We loved this place!

Everything was excellent. We loved the little basket every morning of goodies. The free drinks in the fridge were nice. All the staff was helpful and friendly especially Ahmed at the door. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are large and comfy. The food and drink options were perfect in the hotel. The view from the hotel roof bar was fun. We highly recommend this boutique hotel. It is close to everything and we liked that it only had 60 rooms. Had amenities like a large hotel but had the warmth and attention to detail for a small hotel. We would stay they again. It was worth the money.

The staff is exceptionally friendly and courteous. They were very accommodating with letting us leave our luggage at the front desk while we toured the city, allowed us to keep our car in valet as long as we wanted on the day we left...AND offered a convenient little service with their valet/greeters of driving you anywhere you want in the city for just tips... no fee. WOW! Who does that? The rooftop bar was our destination for evening libations. The bartenders were friendly and funny! We closed the bar. This place is clean, charming and in an excellent location. I highly recommend!
